We started off with building the English master website and creating a design that is in line with their brand and global website but with a slightly more refreshing and contemporary look.
The client also wanted to manage the website using a content management system and have it optimized for search engines, so we employed Drupal, one of the most popular, powerful and SEO-friendly open source content management systems.
Using Drupal's multilingual capabilities, we then went on to develop additional regional versions in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Korean for different markets. During this process we discovered the inadequacies of existing SEO modules for multilingual Drupal websites and created "BeansTag", our own tool to overcome the internationalization issue.
