The idea of Finger is simple — it turns your iPhone into a writing tablet. We found Chinese input methods difficult to learn and Mac-supported writing tablets too expensive, so why not bring the easy handwriting experience on iPhone to our computers?
Although this was our first iPhone app project, as Apple fanatics ourselves we expected nothing less than the most beautiful interfaces and the best user experience that we would be proud of.
We designed everything from the app icon, iPhone app interface, desktop app interface (Mac & PC), to the website and all other marketing materials, while Headnix took care of the engineering side of the work. The design process was highly iterative, and we had a lot of fun learning everything about iPhone app design.
Finger became a top selling app quickly after launch and drew rave reviews from the media and user communities local and abroad.
A free version (Finger Lite) was released in 2009 and we continued to partner with Headnix to create more quality iPhone and iPad apps for clients and ourselves.
