Our client, two diehard BMX fans in their youth, made their childhood dreams come true by acquiring the rights to re-issue products from the classic 80's American BMX brand, CW Racing.

They came to us to design the key pages for an official CW Racing site, celebrating its history and selling newly re-issued CW Racing frames, accessories and gear, much to the delight of old fans all over the world who had been waiting for this for years. CW Racing was big during the BMX craze in the 80s, and was known for their handmade, high-quality bike frames.

The design had to be something that the old school fans could recognize and identify with, but at the same time, it should not be retro. They had a few specific requirements like featuring the top CW Racing riding legend, Mike "Hollywood" Miranda, prominently on the homepage, otherwise the rest was up to us.

We came up with a gritty-retro meets slick-modern vibe with the design, which was OK'd by the client immediately. The site was then built by their own Shopify developer and sales has been soaring since launch.
