TED is a gathering of world's prominent thinkers and doers and share what they are passionate about. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design, and that illustrates the broad topics speakers of this gathering talk about. Among its past speakers are Tim Berners-Lee, Malcolm Gladwell, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, and Al Gore, although Arthur Benjamin is one of my favorites.
TEDx is an independently organized TED program that enables schools, businesses, libraries or just groups of friends to enjoy a TED-like experience through events they themselves organize, design and host. TEDx or TED didn't have to be in Hong Kong for BeansBox to be involved in this highly popular event.
BeansBox developed the TEDx Taipei website, a program held in Taipei last weekend. The website features program and partner information, speaker bios and event schedule. It also features live streaming broadcast capabilities as well as links to social media channels to enable the audience interact with organizers and speakers.
